Abstract. Vocabulary is represented as a complex structurally organized system, a multilateral and at the same time integral object, manifested in the form of such lexical associations as a field, lexico-semantic groups, etc. The classification of verbs according to various lexical fields, lexical-semantic groups allows revealing the content features of verbs. Despite the number of scientific works devoted to comparison, the possibilities of a versatile study of comparative constructions have not yet been exhausted. The study of the verbal components of constructions of comparative meaning has been insufficiently carried out in the Yakut language and in general in linguistics.

The article reveals the features of the functioning of comparison standards expressed by verbs of various lexical-semantic groups on the material of the Yakut language. The most common comparative constructions with verbs of lexical-semantic groups of activity verbs (creation of various things, objects, products), concrete action verbs are considered: verbs with the meaning of causation of placing objects, verbs of action with the meaning of causation of contact of objects, verbs with the meaning of causation of changing objects. In comparisons with standards expressed by the verbs of these lexico-semantic groups, constructions of two types prevail: 1. Constructions with a standard of comparison, decorated with the affix -ly; 2. Constructions with the postposition kurduk ʽas if, likeʼ. Standards of comparison in verb forms mainly reflect the appearance of a person and objects of the environment, contribute to a bright, colorful display of reality, to create a fresh image through comparison. National specificity in verbal standards is manifested in the forms of figurative rethinking of this or that fact of reality.
