Abstract. The article proposed below deals with the problem of strengthening the scientific component of pedagogical (in particular, sports and pedagogical) scientific qualification (dissertation) works by embedding in their structure and content intelligence (pilot, aerobatic) and basic descriptive specific sociological research. The article analyzes the very essence of pedagogical science and pedagogical research as a field of science and art; the prospects of their integration with sociology are substantiated, in particular, by the example of a similar and already traditional integration of pedagogy and psychology; the trends of modern development of foreign (Western) and domestic (Russian) basic and applied science contributing to this integration are considered.

The article examines in sufficient detail (by chapters and paragraphs) the mechanism of structural and substantive integration of pedagogical and concrete sociological research (КCI) within the framework of scientific qualification (dissertation) work on pedagogy, in particular, on sports pedagogy. The variants or ways of simplification (optimization) of the sociological material placed in the main text of the dissertation and in the appendix to it are also considered. However, subject to sufficient personal experience of concrete sociological (especially applied field specific sociological) work, the author of the applied sports and pedagogical dissertation.
