The role of audiovisual learning tools in teaching Russian as a foreign language for the advanced level

Abstract. The article justifies the role of audiovisual means in teaching Russian as a foreign language at an advanced level.

The method of teaching Russian as foreign language at the advanced level involves the viewing in process of training of banners, audio recordings, viewing of film’s pieces, movies, telecasts and multi expositions, using the Internet resources, listening of records on disks and broadcasts.

The authors have proved the success of the using of audiovisual means of teaching Russian as a foreign language at an advanced level. Thanks to their inclusion in the teaching process, students are able to master the skill and ability to draw up coherent thematic statements and freely perceive Russian speech aurally.

Using of audiovisual means in the study of Russian as a foreign language at an advanced level has improved the quality of the learning process and optimizes it. Therefore, at introduction of audiovisual means it is important to create conditions for establishment of stages of work, to determine the content and forms of work, to select language and speech material, to establish ways and cures of stage-by-stage tasks, to reveal level of training to speech activity of trainees, the volume of their knowledge and lexicon and grammar and also the level of assimilation of the speech aurally within a situation.

The effectiveness of the methodology for teaching Russian as a foreign language at an advanced level is achieved with the inclusion of audio-visual tools at the stages of consolidating skills in reading, speaking, listening, and composing «extended» statements, provided the support of the content side of the statement.

The recommendation of the authors for the formation of knowledge of the Russian as a foreign language through audiovisual means is the maximum focus of the materials on the development of communicative abilities, logical statements, performance of complex speech operations, ability to work outside the context, free perception of the material and Russian speech aurally.
