Abstract. The article presents ways of implementation of information support in the social service system. Information support is provided through the use of various channels, which, in turn, have their advantages and disadvantages. Using official sources allows citizens to get the most reliable information, find about various support measures implemented at different levels, get access to a particular service, as well as find out where you can apply for these services. All channels clearly perform their main functions and help clients of social service institutions to cope with their problems more easily. However, the use of such a channel as the Internet is the most accessible and promising direction. Through online resources, you can find the most complete, detailed, up-to-date information about any social support measures. Information support of the population in the sphere of social services is related to the quality and standard of life of a person.

The article reflects research data of the organization of information support in social service institutions for families raising children with limiting opportunities in the field of information openness and information support for this category of families in the Kursk region. The obtained data show that parents of children with limiting opportunities actively use Internet technologies to find the necessary information. Internet resources, in their opinion, are characterized by efficiency, dynamic presentation of information, regular updates, variety and completeness of information. The analyzed official websites of social service institutions comply with the norms and requirements of the law, but they are not often subject to changes and improvements.
