Abstract. The professional health of teachers of higher education is a necessary condition for professional longevity and is recognized as a value, both at the personal level and at the state level. The success and effectiveness of the pedagogical process, the quality of training of future specialists depends on the state of health of teaching staff. Modern intensively changing conditions of professional activity do not contribute to the maintenance and preservation of the health of higher school teachers. The active spread of the digital format of interactions, the massization and personalization of education significantly increase the burden on the teaching staff, violate the established and proven methods of interaction within the educational process. The consequence of increased stress is the deterioration of the health of teachers. Additional difficulties in the activities of teachers of modern higher education are associated with the uncertainty of contractual relations with the employer due to the reduction of contract terms, dissatisfaction with wages, an increase in the volume and pace of professional activity, etc. As a result, the teacher changes his attitude to his health, paying attention to him only in a situation where there is already a complex of chronic diseases, when it is almost impossible to perform professional duties in full.
Under the current conditions, maintaining, strengthening and preserving the health of higher school teachers is a significant personal and institutional task. Its solution is possible through self-regulation at the personal level through purposeful self-preservation behavior of teachers. Educational programs and corporate health programs are also of great importance, reflecting in their content a description of specific aspects of pedagogical activity that significantly affect the health of teachers. The formation and maintenance of a corporate culture of health is designed to effectively combine the personal interest of teachers in their health and the significance of this indicator for the educational organization as a whole, which will significantly reduce the risks of deterioration of health and will determine the resources for its maintenance.
