Abstract. Тhis article describes the consequences of the processes of globalization of childhood and glocalization of childhood in modern society. We point out the need to study these processes not only at the social level, but also at the individual level. We emphasize that the trends of globalization and glocalization of childhood are not limited to the manifestations considered in the article, but they find the most vivid expression. We pay special attention to the individual level of analysis. The consequences of the globalization of childhood at this level include prolonged beyond the normative framework of childhood, infantilization of maturity, and the manifestations of glocalization of childhood are considered «pulsating» or «fluid» childhood, «closing» childhood from the adult world. The article discusses the concept that develops the idea of a «global child» – «glocal child». We give examples of globalization and glocalization of childhood at the level of a person’s life path. We summarize the author’s position on the consequences of globalization and glocalization of childhood, discuss the inconsistency of these processes, and point out the need to understand the concept of «hybridization of childhood». That is the «barbaric» combination of manifestations of globalization and glocalization at the level of everyday life of modern children in the context of specific locations. We emphasize the need to understand the processes of globalization and glocalization of childhood through the eyes of children themselves. We point out that such a statement of the question actualizes the research of everyday life of children from the point of view of understanding the impact that the processes of globalization and glocalization have on the life world of a modern child. The article substantiates the need to analyze the opportunities and obstacles that modern children face due to the processes of globalization and glocalization.
