Abstract. Changes in the social and State structure inevitably entail the transformation of art into other social principles and norms. At the petiod of heightened political tension in various countries, artists are directly involved in influencing the formation of updated moral and aesthetic canons by creating works reflecting the current situation in society. Traditional artistic images lose their ideological and political value and are replaced by new models and styles. The result of the renewal of the «cultural stratum» of the society sometimes becomes completely unconventional images and forms, called antiart, which is able not only to impress the audience with its atypical, but also to call radically different from previous works of painting, architecture, music and literature. One such non-traditional artistic variation of the reflection of the ideas of art is the style «Dadaism» as a variety of the avant-garde current of the late 19th — early 20th centuries. This style emerged as a result of revolutionary sentiments and military actions in Germany, France, England, Russia and a number of other countries. The new art contributed to the propagation of nihilistic ideas based on the pillars of «builders of communism». Dadaism in its original form was relatively short-lived, from 1914 to the 1920s. It survived in modern works of art. Having adapted to the present, the ideas of Dadaism continue to elicit controversy and controversy from both specialists in the field and the general public, and are thus of interest for the study, analysis and comparison of style in his canonical representation and modern interpretation.
