Abstract. The relevance of this article is due to the need for a more in-depth study of Russian and Chinese linguocultural features against the background of increasing mutual contacts. It is also relevant to pay attention to the religious aspect of the study of phytonymy in both languages, since the question of the volume and selection, religious and philosophical value of phytonymic units-the names of woody plants in Russian and Chinese is still unresolved. This article is devoted to the study of the phytonymic phraseological fund of the language with a religious component containing the names of woody plants. The choice of names of woody plants is due to the fact that these lexemes are the most frequent in the idioms of both languages. The purpose of the study is to determine the universal and ethno-specific features of the linguistic picture of the world in Russian and Chinese linguocultures by means of a comparative analysis of phraseological units with phytonyms-names of woody plants containing a religious component. To achieve this goal, descriptive, statistical, comparative and linguoculturological methods were used.

A comparison of the phraseological units of the Russian and Chinese languages, which include phytonyms-names of woody plants, reveals fewer similarities and more differences, manifested, on the one hand, in the varieties of trees, and on the other hand, in the coincidence of connotations in Russian and Chinese linguocultures. The revealed discrepancies are mainly due to the religious differences of the two peoples, the peculiarities of the religious confession of ethnic groups, without taking into account which it is impossible to interpret phytonymic phraseological units with a religious component. The materials of the study and the results obtained allow us to identify the national originality of the phraseological units of the two languages, due to the peculiarities of the figurative structure of phraseological units with the names of woody plants, their component composition, which mainly depends on the ethnocultural preferences and religious traditions of the speakers of the two languages.
