Abstract. The article is devoted to the consideration of the individual author’s and nationally-specific features, represented in the field of the artistic concept «heroine» according to the texts of the Russian classics of the 19th century. The artistic concept is studied in the article both from the standpoint of its individual and author’s embodiment in the text (personal psychic structure), and in the coordinates of the national aesthetic tradition (element of the national picture of the world). Artistic and linguocultural concepts with the same concept name can reveal a mismatch in the semantics and composition of value components, which is due to the discursive variation of linguocultural concepts. The main mechanism for the emergence of such a discrepancy is also the actualization in the literary text and discourse of features that are not included in the core of the linguocultural concept, and/or the individual author’s interpretation of the evaluative component of its nuclear features. In the nuclear zone of the artistic concept «heroine» are included the qualities of the female character, which by the beginning of the 19th century. are formed as the ideal of a Russian woman (loyalty, kindness, selflessness). Since socio-cultural factors have a decisive influence on the formation of the periphery of the artistic concept of “heroine”, we can talk about the expansion of the composition of value signs due to the increasing independence of women. The article deals with various typologies of the heroines of the Russian classics; the types proposed by researchers reveal certain areas of intersection and interaction of conceptual and value characteristics. The modeling of the peripheral zone of the studied artistic concept is carried out on the basis of the application of the criterion of socialization of a woman, the nature of her interaction with the world, which naturally reflects both the individual author’s understanding of the heroine’s image and nationally determined characteristics manifested as components of Russian linguistic culture.
