Abstract. In article various scientific approaches to professional socialization reflected in works of domestic researchers are considered. The analysis of professional socialization of handicraftsmen-businessmen in the context of sociogenesis development of professional activity is made. The factors defining features of professional activity of the modern handicraftsman-businessman are considered: sociocultural practice, situational factors and individual trajectory of professional development.
