Modern socio-psychological problems of spiritual and moral education of youth through the prism of the ideal

Abstract. The authors analyze the current research on the process of formation of personal ideals, as a factor of spiritual and moral education of modern youth, from different angles: turn to civil consciousness, highlighting such concepts as ideal and all-Russian identity; as the formation of ethical and aesthetic ideals; as the basis of spiritual and moral education; as a social environment as a determining factor of all of the above.

The technique aimed at identifying the level of emotional intelligence was used. Hall (EQ Test). On the basis of the conducted testing, it can be concluded that the prevailing indicators were the average for all scales, which indicates the average level of development of emotional intelligence in the study group. This may indicate the ability of most young men from this group to sensibly assess your emotional state, to understand their own motives for certain actions, but often the inability to cope with emotions or understand the cause of certain emotional reactions to surrounding events, both at home and in other people.

The maximum number of subjects according to the method of «unfinished sentences» noted strength as physical strength or physical performance, such as strength, agility, etc., but also «strength of character», «strength of spirit», «emotional strength». (40 % of subjects). Further, such indicators as self – Sufficiency were identified (most often under the «self-sufficiency» respondents meant emotional maturity and wisdom) – 19 % of respondents. The smallest number of respondents identified such qualities as loyalty, respect for parents and the older generation, humor – one percent of respondents, beauty.

On the basis of the results of the study can conclude that the trends in the formation of the image of the ideal man in the environment of youth. Thus, for them, the determining role is played by both emotional and physical strength of a person, his intellectual baggage, friendly and benevolent attitude to others, as well as emotional maturity. It should be noted that the formation of the ideal of modern youth is influenced by a whole layer of different factors: information space (media, culture, art, etc.), social environment, education system, the situation within the family, etc.
