Music as one of the most important factors that model the scope of a person’s culture

Abstract. In this article, music is considered as an artistic cultural phenomenon that ensures the formation of the cultural scope of the individual. Development of personality occurs through its existence in various social and educational areas, in which music is presented by an organized sound environment that imitates the creative structure of public consciousness. The article reveals understanding of music from two sides: as its objective existence in the environment of public consciousness and as its subjective existence within the personality itself. The influence of music on personality and its role in the formation of various properties and qualities of charcter in the education and cultivation of emotions for spatial creative thinking is analyzed: for spatial thinking, for the education and cultivation of emotions, etc. Accompanying a person throughout life, music forms aesthetic tastes and preferences, listening experience for each person. However, the music of high significance, the music embodied in the classical academic repertoire is quite difficult to perceive, it is necessary to study classical musical arts in school. This article reveals the types and forms of music education and the conditions of its existence in Russia. The fundamental difference between music education in Russia and Europe has been clarified.
