Abstract. The article is devoted to study of scientific text by Aleksey Eliseevich Kulakovsky (1877–1926) – a founder of Yakut literature, one of the constitutor of Yakut literary language, an educator, a philosopher, a first researcher in many areas of science in Yakutia. A scientific text is understood as a form of presentation of scientific knowledge, developed as a result of the cognitive activity of the scientist. The study of the role of the heritage of individual persons, the analysis of their activities are allowed to form a holistic representation of the features of the historical process of the formation of the Yakut literary language.

The relevance of the research topic is determined by the insufficient study of the scientific text of A.E. Kulakovsky. For the first time verbs of being presented in his scientific text are studied specially. The verbs with the semantics of being used in his the scientific text also fixed in his the lexicographic works were analyzed. The sentences in which these verbs are predicates are considered. The material for this study was the texts of the scientific works of A.E. Kulakovsky, exactly the materials of his ethnographic research, also articles and materials on the Yakut language, where his lexicographic works are presented. The main methods are the method of continuous sampling, the method of studying vocabulary definitions, the descriptive method with the technique of observation. On their basis the systematization of verbs of being implemented in the scientific text of A.E. Kulakovsky. It has been established that in the scientific texts considered, existential verbs are used that characterize all stages of the process of existence, namely: the beginning of being, the very existence and the end of being. Various situations of the process of being are described by syntactic constructions with being verbs: appearance, disappearance, absence.
