Abstract. In this article, the authors consider the problem of the state of health of students, the solution of which can be promoted, inter alia, by organizing tourist activities within the framework of school education. In recent years, the concept of school tourism has received considerable recognition in the field of education. This form of experiential learning combines adventure, exploration, and safety awareness, contributing to the holistic development of students. By offering students the opportunity to explore the world and learn in a new way, tourism can play an important role in maintaining health and increasing their cognitive activity. By applying an integrated approach to preserving the health of students, schools can help students to be well prepared to meet their academic and social needs in life, as well as to live happily, healthy, fulfilling and in demand by society. The practical contribution of nature trips goes beyond the classroom, forming responsible and comprehensively developed personalities ready to face the challenges of the future.
The purpose of this article is to delve into the scientific development of the problem of tourism, focusing on various aspects of tourism activities in educational institutions. In addition, we have identified well-known Russian-speaking authors who have contributed to the understanding and study of the organization of tourism activities in educational institutions, which contributed significantly to our understanding of this problem. We investigated the legislative framework of the organization of tourism activities and identified the features of school tourism, analyzed its practical contribution to the upbringing and educational process of schoolchildren, in particular, through hiking trips to nature.
