Abstract. The publication presents vocabulary related to the terminology of Tatar embroidery. Since embroidery is one of the traditional types of needlework among the Tatars and in the course of the history of the people it has been constantly improved. The study of the vocabulary related to it not only helps to determine the historical stages of the development of the language of the Tatar people, but is also of great importance for highlighting many issues of its spiritual culture, the linguistic picture of the world. The purpose of the study is a systematic analysis of words that display various methods and techniques of embroidery in the Tatar language. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the comprehensive analysis of professional and craft Tatar vocabulary related to embroidery. Embroidery lexemes as a separate lexico-semantic group represent a whole terminological system. In the proposed article, the authors present a set of terms expressing the main methods and techniques of embroidery in Tatar.
