Literary press in the XXI century: from the almanac to the magazine (based on the material of the publication «Literary acquaintances»)

Abstract. The article examines the place in the modern press of the periodical «Literary Acquaintances», the main task of which is to assert the relevance in the modern world of the traditional values of the national culture of the Golden and Silver Age, to establish a dialogue between generations, to attract attention to talented writers and journalists from the regions, as well as from near and far abroad. For 14 years, 20 regional literary notebooks representing the culture of Orenburg, Izhevsk, Vyatka, Tyumen, Kazan, Kaliningrad, Pomerania and Altai have been released. The editorial board pays special attention to working with talented young people, participating in interregional competitions, festivals of schoolchildren’s creativity, All-Russian festivals, organizing presentations in different cities and countries and presenting the winners in the category «The tribe of the young unfamiliar…». Acquaintance of readers with interesting phenomena of foreign culture is a task set by the editorial board of the magazine in the heading «Culture without borders». Special attention is paid to the Baltic, Polish, and Balkan cultures (the headings «Drops of amber», «Polish accent», «Under the Balkan sky»). Unique phenomena of the Russian hinterland, such as the Tobolsk Renaissance Foundation, are in the focus of the magazine, which seeks to broadcast their educational experience (the Tobolsk Kremlin rubric). The memory of the departed masters is recalled by the publication of memoirs and texts of the talents who left us (heading «Those who stepped into eternity»). The variety of tasks assigned to the magazine and their original solution, the support of well-known writers who provide texts to the magazine free of charge and leading headings, allowed the Moscow almanac to become a monthly magazine in 2018, which received national recognition.
