Abstract. The article examines the vocabulary of the Mongolian languages associated with the names of devices, rooms and parking places for pets. Since ancient times, the main activity of the Mongolian peoples has been cattle breeding, and in this regard, lexemes denoting economic activity are found in languages. The purpose of the article is to analyze the names of devices, rooms and places of animal parking in the Mongolian languages (based on the material of the Oirat and Kalmyk languages). Various dictionaries of Mongolian languages were used as the material. The study examines the lexical units associated with the names of devices for caring for horses, camels, large and small cattle. This group includes various names of horse harness, various belts and devices used in animal care. The names of outbuildings, premises and parking places in the Mongolian languages have been studied separately. Among the names there are also borrowed lexemes from the Russian language. The analysis showed that most of the lexemes of this topic are characteristic of both languages. Despite the close proximity of the languages under consideration, depending on historical and cultural conditions, as well as language contacts, many names are among the outdated, little-used lexemes. Some tokens are specific only to a particular language. Thus, the main results of the study can be useful in studying different layers of the vocabulary of the Mongolian languages in a comparative light.

Keywords: vocabulary; cattle; Mongolian languages; names of household premises; parking places and devices
