Abstract. In Russian literary studies, the «cycle» is traditionally considered as «the designation of a genre (or quasi-genre) education created by combining individual texts into a single artistic whole». The article is devoted to the identification of the cyclization of works in Altai literature, in particular, in the work of Boris Ukachinovich Ukachin. This problem has not been the object of special scientific study and has not been studied in Altai literary studies. The article examines Altai poetry and the main types according to the principle of manifestation of the features of the poetic form of the parts that make up the cycle. The author analyzed and classified the genre poetics of the poetic cycles of the Altai poets with the cycles of other Turkic-speaking writers in a comparative aspect. If poetry cycles in the literature of Southern Siberia occupy only a small part of poetry, then in large literatures their place is much more significant.

The relevance of the work and its novelty are determined by the fact that the cycle, as a genre variety, is insufficiently studied and requires further research. There is a need for in-depth study of it in Altai poetry. The paper concludes that, in the work of Altai poets, cycles of poems are combined into a single poetic structure, using a variety of constructive techniques, the main of which is a single cross-cutting theme or, more often, a single manifestation of the author’s emotion. According to the author, the lyric cycle is still closer in nature to the lyric poem, as a whole forming an intermediate link between the poem and the plot verse. By giving their work a genre designation, writers correlate their work with some literary norms, recognize in it certain supra-individual, genre features (ecchelicter, egerlycter). In B. Ukachin’s work, genres reflected the peculiarities of the poet’s artistic manner and his creative pursuits.

Observation of the development of cyclic genres and their structure allowed us to trace the general and particular in the development of Altai literature.
