Abstract. The article is devoted to the problem of the relation of aesthetic and artistic types of perceptions. The purpose of the study is to determine the features of the correlation of aesthetic perception and artistic perception. The authors set out the main modern scientific views on the relation of aesthetic and artistic phenomena. Presented the results of the comparative analysis of the distinctive and common features of aesthetic and artistic.

The article analyzes the common and distinctive features of aesthetic and artistic types of perception, given the common and distinctive features. Common symptoms: the identity of the emotional and rational-axiological foundations of these types of perception, mechanisms of aesthetic taste, the certainty of the criteria of beauty, expressiveness, proportionality, integrity, positive emotion, derived from the object of perception, feelings of spiritual joy and pleasure, the ability to stimulate a person’s creative capabilities. The distinctive features of artistic perception: directivity to grasp the meaningful context of a work of art; moral, ideological orientation; knowledge of the language of art, the ability to distinguish between genres and types, skills, experience with art; the activation of cognitive processes (attention, imagination); the tension of the inner (spiritual) work. the analysis allowed to conclude that aesthetic perception and artistic perception are closely related, but independent types of perception.
