Abstract. Museums are unique cultural objects that provide opportunities to get acquainted with cultural heritage, study history, and involvement in the cultural environment of museums helps with the adaptation and rehabilitation of people with disabilities. The purpose of the article is to assess the information component of the inclusive environment of museums, which affects the choice and ability of people with disabilities to visit museum and exhibition complexes. The information presented on the Accessible Environment portal was analyzed, and a survey of employees of 40 Moscow museums was conducted by telephone on the topic of accessibility of the museum environment in terms of physical, socio-cultural, informational accessibility and comfort parameters. Despite the fact that there are successful examples of implementing the concept of an inclusive museum environment in the capital, it was found that the problem of full accessibility of the museum space remains relevant for people with disabilities. The most common reason for the lack of accessibility of the environment are physical parameters, as well as the insufficiency of providing socio-cultural accessibility parameters, such as the presence of video and audio guides, tactile exhibits, the possibility of sign language interpretation, and the presence of virtual excursions. High-quality perception of information is impossible without creating additional conditions that allow for the full inclusion of visitors with disabilities in the museum educational environment along with other museum visitors. Positive aspects include a high level of information and transport accessibility, as well as the willingness of a number of museums to conduct excursions with elements of inclusion.

Keywords: socio-cultural inclusion; inclusive museum environment; visitors with disabilities; museum space; parameters of an inclusive environment; accessibility of the environment; museum educational environment
