Abstract. The article is an analysis of the spread and popularity of the Spanish language in the world as a way of in-depth study of the culture and history of Spain through language tourism. The relevance of the research is due to the importance of cultural and linguistic tourism at this stage of the development of Europe, which currently includes not only direct cooperation of specialists and increased access to cultural and historical heritage, but also an innovative sphere, one of the priorities in the field of teaching foreign languages. In the current conditions characterized by globalization, the international mobility of students is manifested in the tourist process, due not only to the policies of countries and strategies of educational institutions, but also to the growing interest of individuals in acquiring language experience and skills away from home. The Spanish language is just one example of the value as an economic, tourist and cultural resource for the country. The Spanish language industry is becoming increasingly important around the world, as culture and language are becoming highly profitable assets. In this article, language tourism is considered as a segment of cultural tourism, and from this point of view, the relationship between the concepts of cultural and historical heritage and tourist product is revealed. It is proved that currently, among educational technologies in tourism, educational and tourist trips for the purpose of learning a foreign language are the most popular. It is indicated that the leading countries of the world pay great attention to the development of the tourism industry, which is a priority in national economies. Modern culture has lost a single culture-forming principle and has turned into many cultural worlds. The goal of intercultural learning today is to increase international and intercultural tolerance. The ability to organize a dialogue and maintain a conversation implies a person’s ability not only to communicate, but also his willingness to perceive a different point of view, a different culture. Cultural consciousness should be considered as linguistic mastery. Currently, we can talk about a revolution in communication, which determines the further formation and development of civil society. The importance of understanding modern cultural processes, intercultural dialogue, globalization and one’s own culture in the world was noted.
