Abstract. The relevance of the research topic is explained by the fact that the era of digital technologies, serving as a powerful tool for analyzing and interpreting cultural processes, not only expands the boundaries of traditional symbols, but also gives rise to new forms of cultural communication that require critical reflection. The development of interdisciplinary research and the integration of philosophical approaches allow a deeper understanding of the transformation of cultural symbols in today’s globalized and digital society. The origins and basic principles of his concept are considered, according to which a person is not so much an animal rationale as an animal symbolism — a «symbolic animal». Central to the study is a detailed analysis of three key symbolic forms — language, myth and science, as well as their role in the constitution of a specifically human reality. Organization and methods of the research: the research is organized in a four-part form: the material of the first part is devoted to the theoretical foundations of the interaction of philosophy, culture and art; In the second part, the symbol is analyzed as the basis of human experience; he third part is devoted to art as a symbolic form; the fourth part critically comprehends the role of philosophy in the system of symbolic forms, its dialogue with art.

Conclusions: today, E. Cassirer’s ideas about the role of symbols, art and philosophy are gaining particular relevance. With globalization, the rapid development of digital technologies and visual culture, understanding cultural symbols and their interpretation is becoming a key aspect of the humanities. Philosophy acts as a critical tool for analyzing modern culture, where the boundaries between art, media and science are blurred.

Modern art, actively using digital means, expands the boundaries of traditional forms of symbols. Virtual reality, interactive installations and multimedia works create new ways of perceiving and interpreting symbols, going beyond the classical artistic experience.

E. Cassirer believed that art always reflects cultural symbols and semantic relationships, and in modern eras it takes on new forms integrated into technological progress. In this context, ideas about multimodality and multimedia impact are of particular importance.

As for the role of philosophy, it acts as a critical tool in the era of information overload. Undoubtedly, the world today is filled with a huge number of symbols that are often difficult to comprehend without appropriate critical analysis. Under such conditions, philosophy becomes an essential tool for the analysis and interpretation of cultural symbols, especially in the digital space. It helps to identify hidden semantic levels, understand the mechanisms of the formation of cultural myths and stereotypes, as well as develop critical thinking in relation to the information environment.
