Ethnocultural marginality as the characteristic of a modern society

Abstract. Object of consideration is the phenomenon marginality, and a subject – features ethnocultural marginality in a modern society. The attention to understanding of a phenomenon marginality as positions marginal and peripheral is paid, their comparative analysis is given. Various approaches in understanding of the phenomenon marginality and processes marginality are presented, the reasons conducting to occurrence marginality of layers reveal. The social nature ethnocultural marginality is investigated, its difference from other kinds marginality is shown, are investigated its positive and negative consequences for society and individual life. Conditions of occurrence of the marginal person are considered, qualities inherent in it, its conformity to requirements of a modern social and cultural context, to consumer society imperatives are analyzed. The role of migratory processes in space expansion marginality layers and occurrence of cultural hybrids is investigated. As a methodological basis dialectic principles of objectivity researches which allow to show dependence of occurrence marginality from specificity of a context – historical, social, ethnocultural act. Scientific novelty consists in promotion of some positions which confirm necessity of research of a problematics marginality, its urgencies. Article maintenance allows to come to following conclusions: (1) marginality is a trend and a mainstream of the globalized world, occurrence of new type of the person – marginal which social nature is defined by unity of modern and traditional lines becomes a consequence of that; (2) strengthening of processes of migration, cooperation and cooperation gives to the phenomena ethnocultural marginality and marginality general character in which orbit of influence there are involved big files of people; (3) expansion of marginal fields leads to various consequences for development of ethnocultural communities.
