Social prevention of forest fire prevention (on the example of the Khabarovsk Territory)

Abstract. Prevention is one of the important means of preventing the occurrence of any negative events that entail negative consequences. More often, prevention is more effective at the early stages of identifying the problem. Carrying out preventive measures is designed to relieve the severity and tension of the problem with as little cost as possible and to turn the process in a more favorable direction. Today, social prevention plays a special role in society, because It is designed to consciously and purposefully organize public activities to prevent and prevent possible social problems and achieve a favorable result. Preventive measures are necessary in all spheres of human life, as well as in various sectors of the national economy. The forest industry has not become an exception for carrying out preventive measures, including in the field of forest fire prevention. Therefore, the relevance of social prevention in the forest industry is due to the need to reduce the negative impact of forest fires on various spheres of human activity, including the level and quality of life. Properly organized preventive work with the population to prevent fire danger in forests, as well as competently and timely carried out, can have a significant impact on reducing the negative factors and consequences of forest fires for society. Namely, the maintenance of a normal level of health, the preservation of jobs for persons whose activities are related to forestry, as well as the preservation of economic and residential facilities located in the forest area or near the forest, the ability to carry out recreational activities and consume various forest resources.
