Abstract. The article analyzes the social integration of the United Europe and the social policy of the European Union, considers the experience of the formation of the social space of the European community, shows the General and Special in the European social model. The conclusions about the prospects of creation of the social area of the EAEU are based on the experience of EU social policy.

The main models of social policy of European States are considered: «Nordic», «Сontinental», «Island», «Mediterranean». There’s the European system of classification of social problems. Such a classification of social problems can also be instrumental in the EAEU countries in determining indicators and indicators of the effectiveness of social policy, identifying recipients of social assistance, etc.

The common values shared by all national models of social policy in the EU countries support the formation of a single European social model. Objective factors such as the presence of a common economic and monetary space; similar socio-demographic trends; the development of globalization and information technologies, which require changes in the forms of labor organization and increased requirements for labor mobility, can contribute to the development of a common social model in the EU, but also contain potential obstacles to the effectiveness of European social policy. Thus, the integration of the EU in the field of social policy lags behind the economic, monetary and even political convergence of the European space.

Based on the analysis of the social model of the EU, conclusions are drawn about the prospects of building the Eurasian social space and the unified social policy of the EAEU. Taking into account the European experience, including the mistakes made in management, migration policy, interaction of the Brussels «eurocenter» with the governments of national States becomes important when building an integration policy in the EEU. From a research point of view, this will make it possible to create a system of cause-and-effect relationships between factors and dominant concepts selected for the evaluation of integration aspects.
