Typologization of Moscow youth

Abstract. The article deals with various approaches to typology of Moscow youth. It is established that the youth most easily adapts to conditions of dynamically developing world. As a socio-demographic group, it is heterogeneous in composition, so the following categorization is considered: by age groups, by marital status, by confessional affiliation, by belonging to certain subcultures, by the content of activities, by occupation, by interests and by other criteria. From the point of view of values important for young people, the following types are distinguished: «family», «workers», «enterprising», «hedonists», «maximalists», «careerists», «desperate» and «vain». According to the results of secondary research, the values inherent in these types of young people include: a sense of justice, religiosity, respect for traditions, faith in God, tolerance towards people of other nationalities, religions and cultures, a high indicator of the ability to compromise, independence, freedom, independence. From the point of view of the basic life strategies (creation of a family, education and professional activity) there are such groups of young Muscovites as «inhabitants», «careerists» and “maximalists». It is revealed that the» inhabitants » is characterized by a tendency to create a strong family and raise children, the «careerists» have a desire to succeed in professional activities, and the» maximalists » have life strategies aimed at obtaining prosperity from entrepreneurial activity, the availability of free time and the presence of links with influential people.
