Abstract. The article analyzes the scientific discoveries of Alexander Alexandrovich Bogdanov in the field of management sociology. The essence is revealed of the basic laws revealed by A. Bogdanov in the process of developing the basic theoretical principles of «universal organizational science». The analysis of the most significant patterns identified by A. Bogdanov: “the law of organizational sum”, “the law of the least”, “principle of emergence”, the laws of the moving balance of the system. The author explores the key findings of “Tectology” by A. Bogdanov regarding organizational and managerial processes, the evolution and development of complex social and natural systems and the characteristics of their interactions with the environment. The author considers the key merits of A. Bogdanov in the field of the formation of an early stage in the development of domestic areas of “Scientific organization of labor”. The characteristic of the relationship of the ideas of A. Bogdanov with the further development of the theory of systems and social management is given. The author comes to the conclusion about the significant influence of the researcher’s ideas on the development of modern cybernetics and a number of other areas that use the achievements of management sociology. Some attention is paid to the theoretical research of A. Bogdanov in relation to the organizational activities of labor collectives, the functions of the leader, the system of optimization of labor activity in industry and agriculture. The author comes to an important conclusion about the breakdown of the theoretical school of A. Bogdanov with the classical theories of labor organization based on the principles of G. Ford and F. Taylor. The article concludes that Ideas of A. Bogdanov was successfully received in the Soviet science of social management, despite accusations of subjective idealism and adherence to “Machism”, which made Russian researchers forget the legacy of the Russian scientist for many decades.
