Conclusions: a brief analysis of the far from complete list of CSI conducted on topical issues related to the functioning and development of the sphere of physical culture and sports shows the real presence and actual level of bureaucratic distortions and corruption abuses in the field of both mass sports and sports of the highest achievements; the precedents considered are widespread, despite the existence of existing laws prescribing clear and definite legal and financial algorithms for conducting an effective policy for the development of the relevant sphere; conducting such specific sociological studies, revealing the facts and laws of the existence of a bureaucratic and corruption component in the specialized sphere, should be considered as a matter of national importance and introduced into the practice of the work of bodies and organizations officially authorized to combat any precedents of illegal activity.

Keywords: the sphere of physical culture and sports; bureaucracy; corruption; specific sociological research; analysis of the results of some applied sociological research; problems and prospects
