Abstract. This article, using the example of comparing mythological archetypes in Mordvin folklore, examines the methods and techniques of Mordvin folk pedagogy, reflected in the folklore of the ethnic group as a mirror of the historical everyday life of the people, as well as the formation and development of children at every stage of their social life in the ethnic environment.
Furthermore, this article explores the ways and means of interaction between plant and gender motifs in the folklore of the Mordvin ethnic group, and identifies key archetypal roles and their representation in Mordvin folk pedagogy, reflecting the social layer of people’s life.
The purpose of the study: to identify and analyze the phenomenon of the reflection of archetypal images of folklore in Mordvin folk pedagogy in the context of the social life of the ethnic group in its historical development.
The study’s materials include key archetypal images of Mordvin folklore, stages in the history of the ethnic community, sociology and ethnography of the ethnic group, folklore studies, philology, cultural studies, and the history of Mordvin pedagogy.
Results and scientific novelty: The study identifies the specific manifestations of mythological archetypal images in Mordvin folklore, the interaction of plant and gender motifs in Mordvin ethnic folklore as a reflection of the ethnic group’s life in society, and identifies the key archetypal roles of folklore images and their representation in Mordvin folk pedagogy as markers of cultural identity. This study has not been conducted previously, demonstrating the undoubted novelty of this research.
