Abstract. The article is devoted to the problems of waste disposal and the role of ecotechnoparks in ensuring sustainable development. The basic principles of the functioning of ecotechnoparks are considered, among which are the separate collection and processing of waste, the use of renewable energy sources and the introduction of environmentally friendly technologies. Four types of ecotechnoparks are described: processing, industrial, research and integrated. Statistical data confirming the need to reduce waste volumes and introduce effective methods of waste treatment are presented. The international experience of France, Japan and the USA in the creation and development of ecotechnoparks is analyzed. France has a well-developed system of separate waste collection and strict control measures over the recycling process. Japan is known for efficiently recycling all possible types of waste and using the latest technologies to reduce its impact on the environment. In the United States, ecotechnoparks play an important role in reducing pollution and improving resource efficiency. The importance of ecotechnoparks lies in the ability to minimize the burden on nature, create a new economy of cyclical processes and contribute to the achievement of the state’s strategic goals in the field of environmental protection and efficient use of resources. The article highlights the importance of ecotechnoparks for the Russian context, suggesting borrowing successful foreign practices and adapting them to local conditions. The conclusion sums up the importance of ecotechnoparks as a tool to reduce the environmental burden and promote innovation in the field of sustainable development.
