Abstract. The article analyzes the role of corporate culture in life and adaptation to the transformation of the education sector of higher educational institutions during the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. The author notes that the growing interest in the development, maintenance and transformation of the corporate culture of higher educational institutions is determined by the impact of the pandemic crisis on the formation of a new educational environment, the characteristic features of which are: the innovative activity of universities, the expansion of spheres of influence and systems of external communications, the need to be included in international rankings institutions of higher education, the desire to improve the quality component of education, shifting the perspective of the traditional values of the classical university. In the context of a pandemic, Russian universities are becoming not only a parameter for positioning their brand in the educational services market, but also an effective development tool that contributes to accelerated adaptation to constantly changing environmental conditions and the acquisition of additional competitive advantages. Using the method of questionnaire survey, the author analyzes the problem field, including the impact of the existing corporate culture on the development opportunities of the university corporation, the effectiveness of the performance of the main functions of culture during the pandemic, the prevailing directions of its development and dominant features. The empirical basis of the study was the data of a survey conducted among representatives of the administrative and managerial apparatus and the teaching staff of Tyumen higher educational institutions. The data obtained during the questionnaire survey allowed us to draw the following conclusions. During the pandemic, the corporate culture of Tyumen universities has become a source of additional competitive advantages for them. Proper inclusion of corporate culture resources in the development strategy helps higher education institutions quickly adapt and respond flexibly to transformations in the educational process, build up their socio-cultural potential, adequately represent the city and region in the educational services market, act as a guarantor in the training of future specialists with a high level of proficiency in the profession.
