Happiness in self-regulation of life activity and moods of students (on the example of a Medical University)

Abstract. The article attempts to comprehensively measure social happiness using the example of a socio-demographic group such as students. The article analyzes the results of a sociological study devoted to the study of the influence of self-regulation on the ideas of students about happiness, factors, levels and ways to achieve it. The problems of studying the dependence of self-regulation and satisfaction from the life of young people studying are considered. It is revealed that the income of young people does not depend on their financial situation. The most significant sources of happiness for groups of «happy» and «unhappy» young people, the dependence of happiness on lifestyle are shown.

Social preferences of young people, their responsibility and ability to influence what is happening, confidence in the future, students’ assessment of the activities of state authorities, local government and social institutions are analyzed. Significant people are identified for young people who can inspire them by their example. In conclusion, the authors came to the conclusion that young people who study in General show positive social attitudes, optimism, calmness, and hope for a promising future, but are characterized by a low level of trust.
