Abstract. The authors consider the dynamics of the level of GDP per capita and the dynamics of the consumer price index of the Republic of Belarus for the period 2007–2018. The article examines the features of migration in Belarus for 2007–2018, analyzes the dynamics of the coefficient of migration growth in the country. The analysis of the structure of citizens who left and arrived in Belarus was carried out. Based on the study of the works of domestic and foreign authors, economic indicators were identified that can affect the processes of external migration: consumer price index, GDP per capita, investments in fixed assets, foreign trade turnover, exports, imports, industrial production per capita, gross agricultural production per capita, the dollar against the national currency, government spending on education as a percentage of GDP, government spending on education as a percentage of GDP.
The aim of the study is to identify strong correlations between indicators characterizing the state of the country’s economy and migration indicators in the Republic of Belarus. The analysis of the relationship between indicators characterizing the state of the economy and indicators of migration was carried out using the SPSS 20 program (pair correlation method). As a result of the study, strong correlations of migration indicators with indicators characterizing the state of the economy of the Republic of Belarus were revealed: imports per capita (in US dollars), investments in fixed assets per capita, the average annual exchange rate of the US dollar against the national currency, public spending on health care as a percentage of GDP. The authors came to the conclusion that when developing the socio-economic policy of the Republic of Belarus, it is advisable to take into account the revealed significant relationships between the state of the economy and migration processes.
