Abstract. This article is devoted to the study of the possibilities of using artificial intelligence technology in the educational process in the secondary school. The authors focus on the process of teaching students various types of speech activity in English. The subject of the study is the methods of teaching reading English texts using modern information technologies.
The relevance of the article is due to the need to develop effective methods of teaching a foreign language that can adapt to the needs of a modern student. With the development of Internet technologies and the spread of online education, there is a demand for innovative approaches to teaching English that would be accessible and effective for both the student and the teacher.
The study showed that the use of artificial intelligence technology can significantly enrich and, at the same time, simplify the process of preparing for English lessons by a teacher, providing the opportunity to create individualized and unique tasks, adaptive exercises that take into account the level and needs of each student, as well as the learning context.
As a result, the authors of the article conclude that this technology is effective at all stages of the lesson: pre-text, text and post-text, both when working with an existing text and when creating unique material within the framework of a given topic.
Promising areas for further work include exploring the possibilities of integrating artificial intelligence technology with other educational technologies and platforms to create highly effective, comprehensive educational programs.
