Abstract. The article is devoted to the problem of verbal representation of the complex phenomenon national identity in travel discourse. The relevance of the problem is due to a combination of factors: the interest of linguists in studying the denotative sphere «Nutrition (food)», the special place of gluttony in the language of travel discourse texts, the interdisciplinary nature of the analyzed category of national identity. The purpose of the study is to provide a comprehensive description of the lexical and semantic groups of gluttony, which serve as a linguistic means of accumulating and retransmitting national identity in the texts of natural digital discourse. The study material consists of travel blogs posted between August 2024 and September 2025 on the Zen blog platform, as well as on social media and messaging apps such as VKontakte and Telegram. The author’s database includes 120 examples of gluttony, which were extracted using a continuous sampling method from 90 travel texts. Based on the denotative feature, the author presents a classification of substantive gluttonous vocabulary, which includes 9 lexical-semantic groups: «Flour-based culinary products», «Meat dishes», «Fish dishes», «Sausage products», «Cold and hot appetizers», «Sweets», «Liquid dishes», «Drinks», and «Ingredients». As a result of the quantitative analysis of the sample, the lexical-semantic group «Flour-based culinary products» was recognized as the most numerous in terms of the number of units. The etymology of all collected lexemes of the denotative sphere «Nutrition (food)» has been identified, and it has been established that the texts of travel blogs are dominated by the names of dishes and beverages that originate from the languages of the peoples of Russia, such as Bashkir, Tatar, Buryat, Yakut, and others. The article notes the collision of local-national and globalizing tendencies in the nomination of dishes and beverages, which is expressed in the emergence and functioning of «hybrid» nominations. The author concludes that gluttonyms, representing ethnically marked signs in travel blogs, participate in the imageology of territories and serve as units of representation of Russian national identity.
