Abstract. In recent years, the field of 3D animation has seen a significant increase in the inclusion of innovative approaches, which is due to the development of computer technology and the increasing demand for immersive and interactive content. This paper will discuss the latest 3D animation design and visualization technologies, as well as their current application and future potential. Based on the use of methods of analysis, induction, generalization, the author attempts to explore a large layer of information on the origins of 3D-animation, and consider technological innovations in the field of 3D-modeling.
Referring to the works of such researchers as: D. Bergen, D. Belcher, M. Bessette, T. Sito, H. Zhang, F. Thomas, O. Johnston, etc., the author makes a step-by-step analysis of the current state of 3D-animation design and visualization technologies, including popular software applications and methods used in this industry. Key areas of 3D animation design and visualization, including such technologies as «modeling», «texturing», «lighting», «rigging» and «rendering» are discussed in detail. In addition to describing the algorithm for creating 3D-animation, the author considers it important to emphasize the advantages of using the latest technologies to create and visualize 3D-animation in various fields (film, advertising, video games, architecture, education).
A separate part of the article is devoted to the study of such trends and technologies as virtual reality (VR), the use of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) and cloud technologies that have facilitated remote team collaboration and access to powerful computing resources without the need for expensive hardware. As a final point, the paper looks at the future of 3D animation design and visualization, highlighting new technologies and the potential of 3D animation.
