Taxis value of simultaneity and their actualization in the instrumental and final situations

Abstract. The problem of actualization of taxis meanings in the various adverbial situations (instrumental, final, causal, conditional etc.) is actual and remains as a rule outside the field of scientific consideration of modern linguists.

This article deals with the issue of actualization of the taxis value of simultaneity in the instrumental and final situations in statements with prepositional deverbatives in German. In the instrumental situations the various instrumental taxis categorial meanings of simultaneity are actualized, in the final situations — the various final taxis categorial meanings of simultaneity.

The main purpose of this article is to describe the instrumental taxis and final taxis categorial situations of simultaneity and to determinate of the prototypical elements of instrumental taxis and final taxis kontextemas.

The research was conducted in order to describe the various instrumental taxis and final taxis markers and actualizers of instrumental taxis and final taxis categorial situations of simultaneity.

As a result of the study, various instrumental taxis, medial taxis and final taxis categorial situations of simultaneity were identified and decribed which are actualized in statements with taxis prepositions of instrumental, medial and final semantics.

Taxis markers of instrumental, medial and final semantics, as well as taxis actualizers are determined as prototypical elements of instrumental taxis, medial taxis and final taxis kontextemas of simultaneity in German.

Based on the conducted research, it was found that in the statements of the modern German language the taxis prepositions mit, durch, mittels, per in the instrumental and medial meaning act as instrumental-taxis and medial-taxis markers. The prepositional deverbatives with taxis preрostitions of instrumental and medial semantics act as instrumental-taxis and medial-taxis actualizers of simultaneity. The final prepositions zu, für, zwecks are final taxis markers. The prepositional deverbatives with final preрostitions are final taxis actualizers.
