Abstract. Recently, the world situation has been in a situation of severe crisis. However, the events of our time differ from the previous ones in that we do not know what consequences they will lead to, since local, regional and global problems are not only latent, but also explicit. And although experts from international organizations should have prevented these crises, this did not happen, as evidenced by the global pandemic of 2020–2021 associated with COVID-19. This indicates the need to revise the existing concept of security, as it showed the inability to identify risk factors of the global system, the shortcomings of the rules for the operation of world markets, the factors of production of modern products, environmental pollution and control over the possible production of bacterial by individual countries. The current situation indicates the need to ensure a balance between socially significant processes and the life-supporting environment of a person and societies in general. Of course, the development of such a concept is not a simple task, and should be the subject of various fundamental studies. In this regard, in the present work, an attempt is made to propose a new idea corresponding to the problem posed. As one of the options, the entropy-homeostatic strategy of the modern world security system can be proposed, since it is seen as the most optimal type of interaction between modern humanity and the environment. At the same time, these categories are interpreted not only in the physical sense, but also in the socio-political context, which, in the synthesis of the use of factors such as bifurcation, attractor and equifinality, can become targeted, observable and transparent, and therefore the challenges from threats and risks will reduced to a minimum, as the processes are subject to scientific forecasting and warning. The article considers the modern system of world security, an attempt is made to identify the imperfections of its design. According to the authors, the need to develop a new concept is quite obvious, and the idea of an entropy-homeostatistical model can be applied to adjust the global security system and strengthen the sociocultural vector in interstate relations.
