The article also demonstrates neologisms which are compound words and appeared 2020 and were included in the list of neologisms by Leibniz institute of the German language. According to the frequency of use two-part compound words prevail among neologisms. Three-part and multi-part compound words are not so common in the modern German language. While detecting compound words which are neologisms and their comparison with the words which have entered into active use by native speakers it was important to set the main stress placement schemes in them. It was revealed that at this stage of the development of the German language the prevailing trend is to highlight the first part in new compound words with the main stress.
