Abstract. Young people, as a large socio-demographic group of the population, play a special role in society: on the one hand, they are in an intermediate state in the social space between “yesterday’s children” and “tomorrow-adults”, occupying the same place for everyone in the geographical space; on the other hand, she is in the process of psycho-physiological and spiritual formation. Unlike the previous childhood state, this socio-demographic group already has a certain physical and spiritual-intellectual potential, but the peak of formation is still far from being overcome – the group is in the process of actively assimilating all that is in society. The interaction of multilevel and dynamic environments of youth life leads to both positive and negative results. The latter is, for example, alcohol initiation, which not only directly affects the position of young people in the social space today, but is also able to move into the future, turning into an important factor in the socio-cultural development of society.
