Abstract. This article is devoted to the analysis of the Russian concept «family/family relations». The relevance of the chosen topic is explained by the fact that the family in the Russian historical consciousness is an important institution for the formation of human relations and values. The determinism of Orthodoxy gave family relations a high moral potential. Currently, in the era of globalization, the family in its traditional sense receives a variety of challenges, the reaction to which is expressed in the emergence of new lexemes and expressions in the modern Russian language.
