Global vs local: to a question on interaction

Abstract. In article the inconsistent nature of a phenomenon of globalisation is investigated, the interrelation of global and local trends, their ambiguous influence on specificity of functioning and development of social and ethnocultural processes is analyzed. Positive and negative aspects of dialectics «global vs local» reveal, ambivalence of the given unity comes to light, the importance of a phenomenon of locality for people and civilisation life as a whole is traced. The risks connected with easing of ethnic specificity and a role of national identifiers are considered. The phenomenon glocalisation as unity global and local, as a condition resisting to risks of levelling, intensity removals between universal and national trends is investigated. Tendencies of homogenization are investigated as components of globalisation complementary each other, their influence on area of culture and system of traditional values of ethnocultural groups of the population is traced. It is shown, how during globalisation processes the national states aspire to preservation of ethnic and cultural features of national life, the national sovereignty and originality. The importance of national identity reveals, its communication with global identity is investigated. Threats of nationalist ideologies and moods are considered, the narrowness of the ideas caused by national limitation and the national superiority, risks of exclusively nationalist sight at social processes occurring in the modern world, its negative consequences for people life in space of amplifying globalisation is shown. Processes of levelling of national specificity, the phenomenon of assimilation, cultural absorption are analyzed. Influence and risks of mass culture for existence of national cultures are considered. Complexity of adaptation of national aspects of life to conditions and globalisation imperatives is shown.
