Abstract. The article is devoted to sentential actants constructions in the unwritten Kadar language, which belongs to the Dargin group of the Nakh-Dagestan languages. These constructions are one of the variants of a complex sentence, the dependent part of which acts as a sentence actant of a matrix verb that functions in the main sentence. The aim of the study is to establish all grammatical forms that can form the predicate of dependent clause and, on the other hand, to determine the list of all matrix verbs and state predicates that function as the predicate of the main clause.

In the process of study the following results are obtained. Grammatical ways of forming the predicate in the dependent clause are considered, a list of verbs and adverbs that can act as matrix predicates is revealed, the main strategies of forming sentential actants constructions are determined. It is established that the Kadar language has the following strategies for forming such constructions: infinitive, adverbial, masdar and finite. Inherent strategies for every matrix predicate are also revealed. The results obtained can be used in the study of these structures in other related to Dargin and Dagestan languages. The research was held within field expeditions in Chankurbe village of Buinaksky district of the Dagestan Republic in 2018–2019 years.
