Abstract. The article is devoted to the lexical and thematic analysis of the nominations of a person with the suffix -tsy/tse (-chy/che) in the dialect of the Tatars of the Tobolsk province. The research material consists of 287 lexical units extracted by continuous sampling from the «Dictionary of Russian-Tatar, collected at the Tobolsk Main National School, by the teacher of the Tatar language, priest Joseph Giganov and mullahs Yurtovsky testified» (Saint Petersburg, 1804). The purpose of the article is seen in the lexical and thematic analysis of the nominations of a person with the suffix -tsy/tse (-chy/che) in the dialect of the Tatars of the Tobolsk province. The author classified the material into thematic groups: «man as a social being», «man as a feeling, willing, thinking and talking being» and «man as a living being». The novelty of the research lies in the fact that for the first time on the regional material of the XIX century, human nominations were systematized and analyzed in terms of subject matter, structure and stylistic coloring. As a result of the study, it was found that: (1) in the dialect of the Tatars of the Tobolsk province, the nominations of a person as a social being prevail; (2) according to the structure, the units are divided into simple and complex; (3) complex nominations are formed according to three models — «noun + verb base + -tsy/tse (-chy/che)», «adjective + verb base + -tsy/tse (-chy/che)» and «adverbial + verb base + -tsy/tse (-chy)»; (4) some lexical units enter into paradigmatic relations, in particular, they form synonymous series.
