English as a tool for global dominance

Abstract. The term «globalization» is such a widespread and polysemous one that it can define almost every case when representatives of a community try to move beyond mere the community itself. One of examples of such a move is an attempt to impose one’s language. This article considers influence of English and its importance within a modern globalization process. The language is regarded not just as a system of signs, but as a unique way of perception of the world.
