Abstract. The article presents the author’s position on the trend of glocalization of childhood, discusses the inconsistency and relationship between the processes of globalization and glocalization of childhood. The consequences that are both manifestations of trends in the globalization of childhood and the glocalization of childhood at the level of the entire society (Megacommunity) are indicated. the idea of globalization of childhood are developed. the following manifestations of this trend: the intensification of the global stratification of childhood, inclusion/exclusion of children in modern «consumer society», the emergence of global risks of childhood, enhancing the reflexivity of childhood, the approval of macdonaldization childhood, the growth of children’s mobilities are listed. We affirm the interrelationship and contradictions of the consequences of childhood globalization. The focus is on discussing the trend of glocalization of childhood. The author’s definition of this trend is given. Questions are raised about the impact of local events related to children on the situation in the world. The problem of correct combination of global-local research optics on the world of childhood is discussed. It is proved that the glocalization of childhood is associated with the formation of social networks of a «deterritorialized» type in the space of childhood. Special attention to the globalization of the local and localization of the global in childhood are paid. The processes of glocalization of childhood relate to the assumption by actors of extended responsibility in a particular area of childhood. It is shown that the processes of glocalization of childhood are associated with local practices of not only acceptance, but also resistance to global processes. We emphasize that the tendency of glocalization of childhood is not limited to the considered manifestations, but it finds the most vivid expression in them. In conclusion, we indicate the topics on the agenda of modern sociology of childhood, the launch of which produces a discussion of the issues of globalization and glocalization of childhood.
