Abstract. The article is devoted to the study of the features of living and reading time by a child, which form the field of his being. The child acts as a series of intermediate stages of becoming a complete, «adult» person. At the same time, each such stage is self-sufficient in relation to itself. The article reveals that the child’s Chrono-experiences correspond to the theological stage of mastering reality, highlighted by O. Comte, which is characterized by the experience of time as an eternity, a cycle. The processes of «desecration» of childhood associated with the reset of eventfulness are studied. Most of the time spent together, a child and an adult «exchange boredom»: the boredom of a child filling the void of an event series, and the boredom of an adult arising from the inability to achieve a child’s intensity of living. The rhythms of speeds that are important for the child’s development process are established, which include delays and voids that are necessary for the formation of a symbolic individual being in the culture of a person. The author highlights the existentials characteristic of childhood: a craving for repetition, a complex of guilt and pity, analyzes the modern postmodern culture and its characteristic infantilization (according to A.K. Sekatsky «a mild form of autism»), which is caused by the completion of human reification, which led to fear of the living, and the attraction to assemblies with high-tech gadgets, the touch of which is pleasant, and causes a sense of security. «Falling into childhood» becomes a way of psychological protection from an unpredictable, hostile world. For an adult, hypocrisy becomes a way to resist this hostility, but the new generation of subjects emerging from modern children is not able to understand the mismatch of deeds, words and thoughts and seeks shelter in themselves.
