Abstract. The article is devoted to the analysis of morphological processes in the texts of the official business style of speech within the framework of legal discourse related to substantive derivation — the formation of new nouns. The purpose of the study is to identify the most productive types and models of substantive derivation in the administrative and legal sphere of speech communication. The scientific novelty of the undertaken research lies in the consideration of modern derivational processes in the structure of the official business style of speech and the identification of the derivational productivity of various word-formation models within the framework of legal discourse. The results showed that substantive derivation as a type of secondary nomination is implemented in legal official business speech using morphological and non-morphological methods of word formation. In the article, the authors identified three groups of morphological models of substantive derivation: productive (the formation of new nouns using suffixes, prefixes and an unaffixed method), unproductive and unproductive. In the first group, the derivational models of verbal nouns were classified in detail and their semantic features were described. The following research methods were used to solve the problems identified in the work: theoretical analysis methods; statistical method; structural-semantic method and contextual analysis method. The study of active processes in the lexico-semantic subsystem of the official business style of the Russian language allows us to conclude that they occur in the direction of expanding its vocabulary. Based on the conducted research, it was found that the research shows an increase in the frequency of word-forming neologisms, with the majority of new words coming from noun neologisms, which account for about 80 % of all morphological innovations.
