Nowadays the Russian society endures a number of difficult political, economic, social and cultural events that are reflected in the Russian language. This period is characterized by the escalating importance of society recognition of achievements in various spheres of human activity. The desire for success and prosperity becomes an important indicator of quality of life that causes relevance of studying of this concept. In this paper the authors gave the review of the researches made by domestic linguists. They revealed the dictionary definitions of the concept \u00absuccess\u00bb that implement the plan of maintenance of a concept in Russian, also the authors defined the basic and additional signs of a concept \u00absuccess\u00bb. Authors provided data of a linguistic experiment in which the students of the Economy and Management faculty in the Orenburg State Agricultural University and the faculty of Economics and Economic security in Orenburg branch of Plekhanov Russian University of the Economy determined by the concept \u00absuccess\u00bb. They made verbal and attributive phrases and correlated success phenomenon to professional activity. The authors offered the algorithm of a research of a concept in a language picture of the world: the determination of basic and additional signs of a concept and carrying out the comparative analysis of the revealed signs with language representation of a concept by modern native speakers. Authors analyzed a problem of the simultaneous static character and dynamism of a concept consisting in fixing of a concept of a conceptual system, on the one hand, and expansion in diachronic aspect on the other. They gave the results of a linguistic experiment, revealed typical, universal semantic components of a concept \u00absuccess\u00bb, defined the communication with using basic signs of a concept (good luck, results). The variable signs fixing the new semantic shades of a concept \u00absuccess\u00bb that allow to add an originality to its contents.
