The organizers were: \u00abAssociation of city libraries\u00bb in Magnitogorsk, a laboratory of folk culture, as well as a library complex \u00abMagnitogorsk State Technical University\u00bb. The event devoted to reading and the book concentrated 62 reports, about twenty occupations and specialties of guests, several generations of participants, including seven age groups. In five sections, problem points, positive reading practices, vectors of socio-cultural and library activities were discussed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Among the reports of the plenary session were speeches of colleagues from St. Petersburg: Golovin V., Nikolaev O., related to the directions of studying reading, reading the textbook text of Russian literature, ways of presenting the book.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The topic of the conference was supported by the acting in the Central City Library from April 19 to May 21, the exhibition \u00abA Man Reading: A Book and Reading in the Life of the City\u00bb. The organizers developed thematic modules (\u00abReading Practices\u00bb, \u00abReading Space\u00bb, \u00abReading as a Profession\u00bb).
